Butler and MacLeod named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Sept. 15-21, 2025
Men's football defensive back Ryan Butler and women's cross country runner Frances MacLeod have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending September 21, 2025.

Ryan Butler, a fourth year defensive back from Mississauga, Ontario, is the Huskies male athlete of the week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week of Sept. 15-21, 2025.
In Saturday's 20-17 loss to the STFX X-Men, Butler had an interception and recorded 5.5 tackles.
Through four games played, Butler leads the AUS with three interceptions, and 54 interception return yards, and ranks third on the Huskies with 18.0 total tackles.
The Huskies will be back on the road next weekend as they visit the Acadia Axemen (1-3) on Friday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. in Wolfville. Saint Mary's will be back on home field on Friday, October 3, as they host the Mount Allison Mounties for their homecoming game. GET TICKETS

Frances MacLeod / Women's Cross Country / Dartmouth, NS / 1st year / Science
Frances MacLeod, a first year runner from Dartmouth, N.S., is the Huskies female athlete of the week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week of Sept. 15-21, 2025.
MacLeod finished second place in this weekend's Dalhousie Invitational at Point Pleasant Park. MacLeod ran the 8K course in a time of 30:48, just five seconds behind the winner.
Huskies cross country will next compete at the Moncton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 4.
