Shibley and Freeman named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Aug. 25-31, 2025
Football quarterback Justin Shibley and women's soccer forward Cara Freeman have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending August 31, 2025.

Justin Shibley, a first year quarterback from Ottawa, ON is the Huskies male athlete of the week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week of Aug. 25-31, 2025.
Shibley was named Player of the Game in the Huskies 46-7 win over the Mount Allison Mounties on Saturday, Aug. 30.
Shibley led the Huskies offensive explosion by completing 18/25 passes for 385 yards and two touchdowns, and added a one-yard rushing touchdown.
Through the first two games of the season, Shibley leads the AUS with 622 passing yards, completing 31/47 passes for three touchdowns, and has led the Huskies to a 2-0 start to the season.
The Huskies will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 6, as they host the Bishop's Gaiters at 3 p.m. at Huskies Stadium: GET TICKETS

Cara Freeman, a third year forward from Halifax, NS, is the Huskies female athlete of the week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week of Aug. 25-31, 2025.
Over a pair of games this weekend, Freeman scored two goals and two assists, leading the AUS with four points through the opening weekend of play.
In Friday's 4-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties, Freeman scored the game-winning goal and added an assist, along with a game-high four shots on goal.
In Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Memorial Sea-Hawks, Freeman scored the opening goal and added an assist.
Through the first two games of the season, Freeman leads the AUS in goals (2) and points (4).
