Cara Freeman named 2025 AUS Women's Soccer First Team All-Star

The 2025 Atlantic University Sport women's soccer awards were announced on Wednesday, with Saint Mary's Huskies forward Cara Freeman being named a 2025 AUS First Team All-Star.

A third year science student from Halifax, N.S., Freeman started in all 12 regular season games for the Huskies. She led the Huskies and the AUS with 15 points, including 11 goals (second in AUS) and four assists (tied fourth in AUS), and 34 shots (tied third in AUS).

This marks the third straight season that Freeman has been selected as an AUS All-Star. In 2024, Freeman was selected as a First Team All-Star, and in 2023 she was selected as a Second Team All-Star, as well as becoming the first Saint Mary's women's soccer player to win AUS Rookie of the Year, and was also selected to the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team.

The Huskies finished the 2025 season with a 4-6-2 record, finishing seventh place in the conference and narrowly missing the AUS Championship Playoff.
