Huskies women’s hockey announce commitment of forward Renee Olsen
Saint Mary's Huskies women's hockey head coach Chris Larade is pleased to announce the commitment of forward Renee Olsen for the 2025-26 season.
A forward from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Olsen was an assistant captain of the King's Edgehill School prep hockey team this past season, leading the team in scoring with 47 points (22 goals and 25 assists) in 43 games.
Olsen was also named to the Team Atlantic roster that represented Atlantic Canada at the 2024 Hockey Canada National Women's Under-18 Championship.
"Renee will bring some great speed and jam to our offensive game," says Huskies head coach Chris Larade. "She's a proven goal scorer that is a pain to play against, and we are confident that she will adapt quickly to the next level. Renee has a tremendous motor and competitive mindset which will both be great assets to our program."
"I'm super excited about committing to Saint Mary's!" says Olsen. "I'm really looking forward to playing hockey and meeting new people. It's going to be such an amazing experience!"
Olsen will be studying a Bachelor of Arts at Saint Mary's.
