Track & Field claim Freeman's Athletes of the Week
Bhreagh Burke (Halifax, NS) and Andrew Peverill (Lower Sackville, NS) are this week's Freeman's Athletes of the Week.
In the AUS track & Field championships, Bhreagh, won the bronze medal in the 1500m in a time of 4:43.02, and posted a new personal best time.  Burke also finished 5th in the 1000m in 3:05.91.  
She was also awarded the Female Student - Athlete Community Service Award at the championships.  The award is presented to the person who best represents the balance between athletic achievement, academics and community service.
Second year student-athlete, Andrew Peverill captured gold in the men's 1500m - 3:53.30, setting a new AUS Record.  He anchored the 4 x 800m relay team to a first place finish.   In the 1000m, he recorded a time of  2:39.96, good for 2nd place. 
At the U Sport Championships in Winnipeg, March 7-9. Andrew will represent Saint Mary's in the 1000m, 1500m and 4 x 800m relay.
